About us

Karan joined Barclays in 1990 on its Management Development Programme and has worked in a variety of roles within corporate and investment banking. Most recently, he was Managing Director and Co-Head of Corporate the Risk Solutions (CRS) Team within the European Investment Banking and Debt Capital Markets Division at Investment Banking, based in London.

Karan has a Master of Arts Degree in Economics from Brown University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Madras University.

Tejinder is responsible for Consumer Risk and Collections.

Tejinder joins us from Citibank, where he was Regional Director – Credit Operations Europe, Middle East and Africa. He brings rich and varied experience across Personal Banking functions – Branch Banking, Credit & Risk, Operations, Direct & Indirect Sales, Risk Audit, Business Process Re-engineering & Consumer Risk function. Tejinder has over twenty years of experience with Citibank NA in India & Europe, Standard Chartered Bank in Middle East and with ABN AMRO Bank in Asia Pacific.

A graduate from the University of Chicago business school with additional professional qualifications in project management (PMP) and financial risk management (FRM), Ram has over 15 years of experience with stints in Citibank NA, India and Standard Chartered Bank, Dubai, where he was their regional head for Personal Banking operations across the Middle East and South Asia.

In addition to responsibilities for core banking operations, Ram covers technology, legal, fraud & investigations, corporate affairs, change management and information risk.

Vishi Srinivasan is the Chief Financial Officer for Barclays Corporate, Investment Banking and Wealth and Investment Management operations in India.

Vishi joined Investment Banking in 2002 in Mumbai and has been in Singapore since 2005, most recently as Head of Product Control Asia Pacific for the Emerging Markets Rates and the Commodities trading businesses.

Vishi brings with him a wealth of experience in Finance, which he gained from working in a variety of finance roles in India and overseas with Standard Chartered Bank, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Price Waterhouse prior to Barclays.

Suvrat joined us from Citibank, where he was Head of Strategy, Marketing & Customer Experience for Australia. He joined Citibank in 1990 as part of the Cards start-up team in India. Over the years, he has worked across several geographies including Personal Bank Head for Guam; Deposits Head, Marketing Director and Cards Head for Japan; Regional Head across 11 countries in Asia Pacific for Citibanking; and Deposits as well as Wealth Management Head for Australia.

In his current role, Suvrat is responsible for Personal Liabilities, Personal Assets, Premier Banking, Investments, NRI, Bancassurance, Cards, Marketing and Sales Governance for Barclays Corporate in India.

Chandra is a B Tech degree holder in Electronics Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Kharagpur.

He spearheads the Information Technology initiatives for the Bank and is responsible for building and managing the technology capability to support one of the fastest growing banking franchises in the region that encompasses Barclays Bank & Barclays Finance interests in India. His responsibilities include driving innovation projects, and developing strategic planning guidelines in accordance with the business strategy of the Bank technology for Personal, Commercial & Cards businesses; governance & assurance including technology risk; infrastructure & service delivery.

Chandra brings with him 13 years of national and international experience across Europe, Middle East and Africa, and has managed highly visible, multi geography driven strategic projects and programs under various operating models including centralizing, outsourcing and off-shoring. Prior to joining Barclays, Chandra was the Head of Production Services India - Lending, Operations and Financing Technology at RBS Global Banking and Markets, providing IT services to global clients. He was instrumental in expanding the business and also played a key role in setting up operational processes in the organization. Earlier, in Citigroup, as the Vice President - Technology, EMEA (Europe/Middle East/Africa), Chandra has been a key influencer in program governance and strategy. He has played an active role in setting up the central offshore team for Flexcube rollouts in the EMEA region, and has successfully implemented multiple installations of Flexcube.

A post graduate in personnel management from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Archana has over 17 years of HR experience with the TATA Group and three Indian private sector banks – HDFC Bank, Development Credit Bank and Yes Bank.

Archana is responsible for creating a differential people strategy for attraction and retention of top-tier talent across the Barclays GRB operations, and in time positioning Barclays GRB as an employer of choice.

A post graduate in commerce from Osmania University with professional banking qualifications from the Indian Institute of Bankers and National Institute of Bank Management, Parveen has over 30 years of experience in the Indian banking industry. Prior to joining Barclays GRB, she worked with IDBI Bank Limited and was responsible for operational risk management across the bank.

Parveen works closely with the various business lines of the bank and is responsible for the development, implementation and management of operational risk management systems in India within the overall framework of the Barclays Corporate world.

Sanjit is a Mechanical Engineer from Delhi College of Engineering and did his MBA in Finance & International Banking from McGill University, Montreal, Canada. He has joined us from Standard Chartered Bank where he was designated as Senior Credit Officer, India & Nepal - Origination & Client Coverage, Wholesale Banking.

Sanjit in his career span of over 16 years has worked in varied organizations like SCB, ANZ Grindlays and Greaves Ltd, with the major part of his experience in Corporate Banking and Wholesale Banking. His experience in the commercial risk function is well rounded having spent time in both Credit & Front office.

Rajeev is a qualified lawyer and Associate of Institute of Bankers with over 20 years of banking, legal and compliance experience. Prior to joining Barclays, Rajeev has worked in senior positions with Standard Chartered Bank, IDBI Bank and ING Bank NV. He has advised on a wide range of products, services and activities in the banking, mutual fund, broking and insurance spheres.

Rajeev started his career with a public sector bank as a Probationary Officer and had the benefit of working across businesses during his early years and also had a stint with a life insurance company viz. Tata AIG Life.
