Remote Account Opening

Barclays NRI Banking now offers you a simple and convenient way to open your account through Remote Account Opening from outside India. All you need to do is download the Account Opening form, complete all relevant details, enclose all the documents as required by the Bank.

• Step 1. Download the account opening form. Click here to download and select the type of Account you wish to open.
• Step 2. Fill in the Account Opening form complete with all sections. Please note that the following sections of the Account Opening form are mandatory - Account Selection, PIO declaration, Source of funds & 'We would like to know better'.
• Step 3. Enclose all relevant documentation proofs required by the Bank duly attested by any of the following Staff of any Barclays Branch worldwide / Indian Embassy or consulate / Notary Public.

• The remittance would be required to be done from the overseas bank account whose statements have been submitted as address proof. The overseas address specified on the account opening form should be the same as on the Bank Statement.
