Do I require an introduction from an existing Barclays Bank account holder for opening a Corporate Salary Account? |
No introduction is required from an existing Barclays Bank account holder for opening a Corporate Salary Account. Proof of your employment / validation from an authorized official of your Human Resource Department is all that is required.

What Documents do I need to submit for opening a Barclays Payroll Plus Salary Account? |

What are the charges applicable for debit card? |
There are no withdrawal charges for cash withdrawn from any VISA ATM network across the country. For purchases and ATM transaction(s) outside India there is a 2.5% currency conversion charge, at all VISA enabled POS and ATM machines. Service Tax (currently 12.36%) on these charges will be levied. For details of charges on Domestic debit cards, kindly refer the
schedule of charges for consumer banking.

As a Salary Account holder, can I open a joint account and with whom? |
Yes, you can open a joint account with your spouse or your blood relative by providing us KYC documents as mentioned above and proof of your relationship with the joint account holder .

I keep travelling outside India on business. How can opening this account help me? |
Barclays Bank offers an International Debit Card with its Corporate Salary Account. You can access your Corporate Salary Account with your debit card for free* at any of the VISA ATMs worldwide. You can also use your Debit card for purchases at more than 12 million merchant outlets worldwide.

Will I continue to enjoy the facilities once I leave the company? |
You can continue to avail of these facilities only for the tenure of your employment with the company where the Barclays Payroll Plus Account offer is made, and you continue to receive your monthly salary in this account
When you leave your company the account will automatically require you to maintain Rs. 10,000 of average quarterly balance and you may continue enjoying all the benefits!

Can I as an individual open a salary account with Barclays? |
It is true that the Salary Account is an individual account, however, an individual cannot open a salary account. There has to be an agreement between the employer and Barclays, and the employer has to sign up for the Barclays Payroll Plus.

Do I have to maintain any minimum balance in the account? |
As a Payroll Plus customer you get a special waiver on the minimum balance requirement till your employment with the company. It is a zero balance account.

How do I change the nominees for my Salary Account? |
You can change the nominee(s) by making a declaration to that effect, in the appropriate form, which is available at any of the Barclays Bank Branches. You can also download the nomination form here and submit the same at any of the Barclays Bank Branches.

Phone Banking gives you the convenience of 24 hours banking on the phone. You can do all the following:

Is it possible to receive my alerts on more than one mobile number? |
No, we will send the alerts on only one registered mobile number per customer. However for joint accounts, both account holders can give separate mobile numbers to receive the alerts.

In case I have a joint account with Barclays, do you send alerts to both account holders? |
Yes. We will send the alerts to the individual registered for the service. If both account holders have registered, both of you will receive alerts. If one of the account holders has registered, only one will receive alerts.
